Smart TV, Apple Airplay, Google Cast, Steam

Playing videos from your computer or smartphone on a larger screen can enhance your viewing experience significantly. Here’s a guide on how to play a video, either downloaded or streamed, using various methods including HDMI, Apple AirPlay, Google Cast, USB drive, and Video Share Link.

HDMI

From a Computer:

  1. Connect the HDMI Cable: Connect one end of the HDMI cable to your computer's HDMI port and the other end to the TV's HDMI input.

  2. Select the HDMI Input: Use your TV remote to select the HDMI input you connected the cable to.

  3. Mirror or Extend Display: On your computer, go to display settings. For Windows, right-click on the desktop and select “Display settings,” then choose to either duplicate or extend your display. On a Mac, go to “System Preferences” > “Displays” and select “Arrangement” to mirror or extend your screen.

  4. Play the Video: Open your video file or streaming service on your computer and start playing.

From a Smartphone:

  1. Connect via HDMI Adapter: For smartphones, you may need an HDMI adapter (e.g., USB-C to HDMI for Android or Lightning to HDMI for iPhone).

  2. Connect to TV: Connect your smartphone to the HDMI adapter and then connect the adapter to the TV.

  3. Select HDMI Input: Use your TV remote to switch to the correct HDMI input.

  4. Play the Video: Open the video file or streaming app on your smartphone and play the video.

Apple AirPlay

From a Computer (Mac):

  1. Ensure Both Devices Are on the Same Network: Connect both your Mac and Apple TV to the same Wi-Fi network.

  2. Enable AirPlay: Click on the AirPlay icon in the menu bar on your Mac and select your Apple TV.

From an Android Device:

  3. Cast Icon: Tap the Cast icon within the app and select your Chromecast.

USB Drive

From a Smart TV:

  1. Transfer Video to USB: Copy the video file from your computer to a USB drive.

  2. Insert USB Drive: Plug the USB drive into the USB port on your TV.
