Instructions on how to edit PDF-based promotional material
Customising the promotional materials looks different depending on what type of computer you're using (MAC or PC) and what software you're using (Adobe Acrobat, Preview, etc.) Once you've downloaded the print file to your computer, here are the steps for each option:
For Mac users: (support article here)
Open the Alpha template PDF file with "Preview" (free software built into Mac)
Type in your information into the customisable fields
Click “Save”
Send the file to your local print shop (eg. Staples) or save it to a flash drive to print out at your church or home office.
For PC users, (support article here)
Find the PDF and open it in Word
Word tells you that it will make a copy of the PDF and convert its contents into a format that Word can display. The original PDF won't be changed at all. Select OK.
After your edits, you save it as a Word doc or a PDF. In the Save menu, choose the document type in the Save as dropdown menu and select OK.
Alternatively, use PDFescape - A free PDF Editor & Free PDF Form Filler:
Visit pdfescape.com to upload the PDF file you wish to edit
Make changes in the fillable/customisable fields
Save and download the edited PDF
Send the file to your local print shop (eg. OfficeWorks, KwikKopy) or save it to a flash drive to print out at your church or home office.
Using Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat: (support article here)
Open the file with either Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat
